what should i wear & what should I bring

Wear comfortable clothes similar to what you would wear in any active situation. Stretchy is good. Yoga is practiced barefoot, so don't worry about your shoes. We have cubbies for them here.

As for what to bring... if you have a mat at home, bring it in to practice on, but no worries if not. We have studio mats to lend. Some people like to bring mat towels for sweat and water.

What classes are best for beginners?

As you begin yoga, we always recommend trying a range of classes to see what style of yoga or teacher really speaks to you. If you have never tried yoga or are out of shape our Yoga Series for Beginners is a great place to start. These intimate classes will break down the foundation poses and help you to make any modifications you may need. The Yin/Resorative classes on Sunday and Wend evenings (what better way to start the upcoming week?!) and the Gentle Yoga classes on Mondays and Slow Flow on Fridays are much more mellow than the Vinyasa Flow classes!

Barre, Barre + Cardio and SWEAT 45 classes are 100% accessible for beginners and are a great compliment to yoga!

Of course, if you really want to dive in - we can always arrange private sessions with your favorite instructor to customize and build your practice from the ground up. Private sessions allow you the opportunity to really fine tune the practice to your lifestyle, balancing all of the energies from your every day life.

If you are fairly athletic to begin with and like a good challenge, come check out a Vinyasa Flow class. Our instructors will do their best to offer suggestions on aligning your body correctly and safely.

I've never been to a yoga studio, what do i need to know?

The good news is that you don't need to know much. Beyond the information above, we recommend arriving 10 minutes early for your very first class to fill out a waiver and get acquainted with the space.
