About the Teachers:

Ashley Holland - Ashley has been practicing yoga regularly for over 14 years. A native of Virginia, she first found yoga in college at VCU as a way to reduce stress and fulfill a need for creative, dance like movement. She quickly realized that yoga was much more than that and began her personal transformation through yoga to a place of more peace both physically and mentally. Ashley has studied with many teachers, completing her 200 hour in Bali under Vidya Heisel and later studying with many renowned teachers across the country. After teaching for a few years she found her current teacher Cyndi Lee and completed her 500hr RYT with her in 2015. Ashley is also a student of Buddhism, energy work and healing through affirmation and mixes these principals in her yoga classes to create a dynamic, challenging yet accessible, introspective class for her students. She uses her own life and spiritual practice as a template for classes and hopes that what she shares from her own journey helps those she meets find more peace. She co-opened Santosha Yoga in Crozet in 2017 with the intention of bringing a place to learn, practice and grow with yoga, West of Charlottesville. She strives to share the benefits of yoga with all and encourages students to begin again, to be kind to yourself and to have fun.

Chloe Watkins - Jay Brown says, “family life is the yogic cave” and it is this idea that echos in Chloe’s personal practice and in her teaching. Drawing inspiration from everyday activities - raising a small family, juggling jobs and tasks and making ends meet - Chloe seeks the wisdom in our mundane experiences, which when observed serve to  make our lives richer. Her aim is to provide her students the tools with which they can begin to notice the intricacies and joys of their lives as they are today - not as they are on instagram or social media - the good, the bad, and the indifferent.

Chloe was trained in 2012 at PURE Yoga in New York City under Yogi Charu and KayKay Clivio. She has been blessed by many incredible teachers over the years including Terrence Monte, Tiffany Cruikshank, and Kathryn Templeton. Inspired to help build a yoga community in her beloved hometown of Crozet, VA, Chloe co-founded Santosha Yoga with Ashley Holland in 2017. She cherishes Santosha as a "home" open to all seeking well-being in body, mind and spirit and strives to help her students discover the contentment in the entirety of their life experience.
